I have come here many times. The food, servers, and atmosphere are always very good. Prices are very reasonable. The one elderly server can be interesting to deal with, but that's just who she is. Will end up making you laugh usually.

Food is is made w home recipes. Portions are large, prices are reasonable. Had the GOAT of corn beef & cabbage today!

Great place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The food comes in large portions & a great price. Everything was so tasty. We will be back when we're in the area. Take my word for it & enjoy!

Absolutely fantastic visit, stopped in as I traveled through. Breakfast was fantastic and staff very friendly. Very local small town feel, many local regulars, very nice people!

Good food with the wolf pack. Jc ordered one of everything and the cooks made it happen . Only complaint is his milk could of been a bit warmer haha (sarcasm). Waitress was new to the diner but felt like she's been there forever. Thank you

We stopped in around 10:30 on a normal Monday, and the place was still quite full. We were invited to seat ourselves. The food came out fairly quickly and was very good. I think my meal was especially filling for the 9 paid. I ordered the "hillbilly stacker," a full order of four biscuits and sausage gravy topped by three eggs cooked to order on a bed of what they call "American fries." The biscuits were excellent, and the gravy was some of the best I've had, with little morsels of sausage. The potatoes were similar to the chunk-style hash browns. My wife ordered chocolate chip pancakes. She received two decently-sized cakes cooked with a nice crisp to the exterior. I felt there were plenty of large milk chocolate chips. Our server was a nice older lady who initially brought us two smaller water glasses, then a few minutes later returned with two larger glasses of ice water. After bringing us our food and the check simultaneously, we didn't see her come by the table again. I didn't think they were that busy. It's a nice, cozy diner that's tastefully decorated. It has a homey, small-town feel that makes it a great stop if you're in the area. Finding a nearby parking spot might be tricky--we got lucky. One final note: they are a paper-not-plastic establishment. That is, they only take cash and checks (really?), but not credit/debit/etc. They do make that clear before you walk in, but now you know before you go. Which I recommend you do!

Me and my granddaughter came by to have a little breakfast. I had A B. L. T and fries, and she had chili cheese fries. This place was highly recommended from a friend My granddaughter said her fries were the bomb the best she's ever had. In my breakfast consist of the BLT of course was wonderful. The cook could have a thumbs up.

My bestie & I were needing a Denny’s or an IHOP,. What we found was this place and it surpassed our food expectations.,The owner was loving of all her guests and she even trusted me to be short on the bill momentarily. Cash or check only in this old school establishment peeps!! She’s hardcore about no extras fees for her or you. Great food & authentic care for the customer served! Why care? Well served indeed. If you need a breakfast all day fix, Birdie’s (Birdy’s?) is a must if you’re traveling the country roads near northern Indiana.
